Amarone 'Calcarole' Single Vineyard, Guerrieri Rizzardi, Italy

100% single vineyard, dried grapes, long slow fermentation of 1 month before 3 years in oak. After a decade this Calcarole still shows good, ripe blackberry & dark cherry fruit. It has become more savoury & developed w this complexity continuing on the palate w subtle sweet spice & raisin. A long finish w plenty of intense black-berried fruit. 93 points (Robert Parker)
