Malagousia 'Nine Daughters', Greece

The new white wine of Pieria Eratini Estate, an aromatic and elegant Malagouzia. The selection of the vintage is made carefully and in specific conditions, in order to protect the special aromatic character of the variety. After harvesting, extensive pre-fermentation cold extraction is performed at low temperature and for 9 days. 
Malagouzia is the result of micro-vinification. Only 10,000 bottles will be bottled per time, to maintain, as much as possible, the aromatic surprise and complexity. In this way of vinification, the wine matures in its entirety and allows the development of additional secondary aromas. Malagouzia is dominated by natural flowers, aromas of the variety, along with botanical aromas and citrus that are due to the specificity of the area defined by the altitude, the large temperature change, but also the composition and temperature of the soil. Ideal combinations are light dishes and “pure” flavours.
