The Botanist Gin, 1l

A progressive exploration of the botanical heritage of the Isle of Islay.
An exciting and unusual gin from Islay whisky distillery Bruichladdich, The Botanist is made in a Lomond still christened Ugly Betty and contains no fewer than 31 botanicals, of which 22 are native, hand-foraged local botanicals including the likes of mugwort, meadowsweet and the enigmatic Lady's Bedstraw flowers.  These delicately augment nine berries, barks, seeds and peels during an achingly slow distillation and the resultant dry gin is described, perhaps unsurprisingly, as 'floral'. 
This first and only Islay dry gin is a rare expression of the heart and soul of our remote Scottish island.
