Vouni Panayia Yiannoudi, Cyprus

The red variety of Yiannoudi is the new prospect of the Cypriot oenology for the production of quality red wines of local character & these Yiannoudi vines of Vouni Panayia are merely a few years old.  It has aromas of bushes & wild berries.   This wine expresses notes of cream soda, liquorice, blackberry & blueberry.  Medium weight on the palate with ripe tannins.  A spike of black fruit, pencil shaving & graphite notes that finishes off the end palate. One of our favourite Cyprus wines!
